There is a certain inevitability to the godhood of "A rhythm, merciless". It is the song woven into everyone's bones from the moment they come into being; the thrum woven into the cycle of existence itself. While some may fight it tooth and nail and others still let themselves be overtaken by the rhythm, there is no denying the beat to which we all march.
Prayer to "a rhythm, merciless" is unsurprisingly paid more often than not, in the form of song. The god of musicians delights in a lighter form of worship, where your prayer is a gift instead of a plea. To "the thrum", there is no ask, there is no grovel, there is no beseechment; there is only offer, provenance, and delight. To kneel in supplication, to bow is excessive— there is no changing what is already written. A whistle in thanks here, a hum in appreciation there, is all one needs to demonstrate their devotion to the music around us.
"The god of small mercies" has remained a part of the Major Arcana because there’s nothing more comforting to mortals toiling away on this continent than the surety of fate. When life is at it’s hardest, sometimes its just easier to leave it up to the god of fates, to “the thrum”, the ceaseless rhythm, merciless that drives the world forward, uninterrupted.
To follow the snare is to accept the natural order of the cosmos and your place in it. It means accepting your destiny even as you strive against the bonds of fate. As a follower of A rhythm, merciless, consider the ideals on their Ideals table as alternatives to those suggested for your background.
